1.What is the maximum length of paper contributions?
The maximum length for contributed and invited papers is 3 pages. These page limits are inclusive of references, appendices, and other supplementary material. Please use the latest IEEE template as provided in the conference website.
2. Will invited papers be reviewed?
All papers will be reviewed as per IEEE policy. The track chair, co-chair and members will give a consensus decision on the accept/reject criteria of the all contributed and invited papers.
3. Can submitted contributions be submitted elsewhere?
No, contributions must be original works that have not been submitted elsewhere nor previously published or copyrighted. Prospective authors are expected to submit only their original works.
4. Is there any difference between Regular and Focus Session contributions?
Regular and Focus Session papers will be treated equally. Focus Sessions will comprise of Invited Papers only. They will be eligible for publication if they meet the criteria outlined in the Submission Guidelines.
5. Will registered contributions be published?
No, paper acceptance and registration alone are not sufficient for publication. According to IEEE's publication rules, contributions must be presented at the conference to be eligible for inclusion in the conference proceedings..
6. How are no-show contributions handled?d?
Accepted papers must be presented at the conference, either by the authors themselves or via proxy. If a paper is not presented, it will be deemed a "no-show" and will be removed from post-conference distribution. No-show papers will not be available in the IEEE Xplore® Digital Library or other public-access IEEE forums.
7. Will registered and presented contributions be published in IEEE Xplore?
Conference proceedings that meet IEEE quality review standards may be eligible for inclusion in the IEEE Xplore® Digital Library. IEEE reserves the right to exclude a paper from distribution after the conference (e.g., removal from IEEE Xplore), if the paper is not presented at the conference. 'Pay to publish' is not allowed by IEEE.
8. Will registered and presented contributions be indexed?
Yes, conference proceedings will be submitted by IEEE to Scopus and Ei Compendex for indexing after the conference, provided they meet the necessary requirements.
9. Can authors share their papers??
Authors are generally permitted to share and post their papers, provided they adhere to the IEEE's publication guidelines.
11. Can supplementary material be included in a submission?
Yes, supplementary material such as documents, code, and other information can be deposited on public platforms like YouTube, GitHub, and arXiv. Additionally, IEEE recommends using IEEE DataPort, TechRxiv, and Code Ocean for supplementary material.
12. Is it possible to add or remove authors after a paper has been accepted to IEEE EDTM2026?
Changes to the author list after acceptance are generally not permitted. However, in exceptional cases, such changes may be considered with prior approval from the Technical/Program Committee. If you need to request a change, please contact the Program Committee as early as possible at secretariat@ieee-edtm.org. Be sure to include the paper title and ID, the current list of authors, the proposed changes, and a brief justification. Please note that approval is not guaranteed and is subject to the conference’s publication policies. Important: Unauthorized changes to the author list may result in the exclusion of the paper from the final program and proceedings!.
13. Should I upload responses to the reviewers’ comments or the source files with the final paper?
CNo. A formal revision process is not foreseen at this stage. Only the final camera-ready PDF needs to be uploaded to paper submission system. Reviewer responses and source files are not required..
14. Will my paper be presented as an oral or poster presentation??
The track chair and co-chair will decide on whether a submission will be an oral or poster presentation. However, due to space limitations, this arrangement may need to be adjusted. Detailed information about the final presentation format for each paper will be included in the draft final program, which is expected to be available in early January 2026 (see Important Dates).
15. When will the conference proceedings be available?
All registered participants will receive electronic access to the official conference proceedings at the start of the event.
FAQ for HRDC Claimable1.Is EDTM 2026 HRD Corp claimable?
Yes. The 10ᵗʰ IEEE Electron Devices Technology and Manufacturing (EDTM) 2026 has been approved by Pembangunan Sumber Manusia Berhad (PSMB) as HRD Corp Claimable under the Kumpulan Wang Pembangunan Sumber Manusia (KWPSM) scheme.
2. Who can apply for the HRD Corp grant?
All registered employers under KWPSM are eligible to apply for a training grant via the e-TRiS system.
3. How do I apply for the claim?
i. Log in to the e-TRiS portal. ii. Select “Non-Registered Training Provider Details – Association” under Skim Bantuan Latihan (SBL). iii. Attach the official approval letter from PSMB (issued to IEEE EDS for EDTM 2026) as a supporting document. iv. Submit the application for approval. Note: Approval is subject to HRD Corp (PSMB) terms and conditions.

5. Does the conference organizer submit the claim on behalf of the company?
No. The employer must submit the claim application through the HRD Corp e-TRiS system. The organizer only provides the necessary documentation (approval letter issued by conference organizer, program details, invoice) to support your submission.
6. Which HRD Corp category does EDTM 2026 fall under?
The conference is categorized under “Non-Registered Training Provider – Association” within Skim Bantuan Latihan (SBL).
7. Is each tutorial or technical session separately claimable?
HRD Corp considers the entire conference program (1–4 March 2026) as one approved training event. However, companies may choose to register for specific sessions (e.g., tutorial or technical) if separated in the fee structure. In that case, each must meet the minimum 4-hour duration for SBL eligibility.
